Madon Foundation

MADON FOUNDATION was established out of a profound commitment to humanitarian service. What began as a passion to support individuals across diverse areas—education, healthcare, sports, workshops, and equipping talented students with essential ICT skills, soon evolved into a structured mission. Careful evaluation of our early initiatives revealed the significant and lasting benefits these efforts created. This realisation affirmed the need to sustain and expand our work, ensuring continuity and greater impact for the communities we serve.

MISSION STATEMENT

MADON Foundation is committed to transforming lives in Ghana by providing quality education, healthcare, clean water, and empowerment opportunities for underserved communities. We support children from basic to tertiary levels, promote maternal care to reduce mortality, and integrate ICT and employable skills training to prepare youth for the global market. Through women’s empowerment initiatives and inclusive programs for persons with disabilities, we foster resilience, opportunity, and sustainable development. Our mission is to inspire partners, institutions, and the international community to join us in creating lasting impact.

MADON Foundation, based in Ghana, is dedicated to advancing quality education, healthcare, and empowerment initiatives for underserved communities. Our work spans rural and urban areas, with a strong focus on inclusive programs that support children, youth, women, and persons with disabilities.

We provide educational assistance from basic through tertiary and vocational levels, promote maternal and antenatal care to reduce maternal mortality, and support families with children who have special needs, including autism. Recognizing the environmental challenges posed by illegal mining, we also invest in borehole facilities to ensure access to clean and safe water.

In many rural communities, educational and healthcare infrastructure remains inadequate—classrooms, books, teachers, clinics, medication, and medical staff are often scarce. MADON Foundation exists to bridge these gaps, offering quality healthcare and education that empower individuals to thrive and compete in the global job market.

As the world advances rapidly in digital technology, we integrate ICT into learning by introducing coding and digital skills to children in public schools. We also facilitate workshops that equip youth with employable skills and prepare them for global opportunities. For women, our empowerment programs include training in bead making, fascinators, soap production, local beverage brewing, and small enterprise management.

Through these initiatives, we aim to inspire corporate bodies, government institutions, and the international community to join us in creating lasting impact for individuals and communities across Ghana.

Through sustainable development and strategic partnerships, MADON Foundation envisions a society defined by equity, resilience, and lasting impact.

INITIATIVES

Education

In 2018, Madon Foundation, an initiative of Madon Consult, set its sights on the Kojo Kuma community in Ghana. What we discovered was a place rich in spirit but deprived of basic resources—where children studied under trees and clean water was a rare luxury.

Determined to bring change, we built temporary classrooms, provided desks for eager learners, and drilled a borehole to supply clean water. These first steps became a beacon of hope for generations to come.

Partnerships for Impact

Madon Foundation collaborates with Global Community Uniting for Equity (GCUE) and other educational agencies to strengthen community needs and expand opportunities. GCUE’s worldwide education projects focus on:

  • Building schools and improving infrastructure
  • Supporting at-risk students
  • Promoting diversity across age, faith, race, and disciplines

Through these partnerships, volunteers and communities alike learn to embrace diversity while advancing education.

 Achiase Kojo Kuma Project

In 2018, GCUE and Madon Foundation, with the support of Hon. Suzei Mensah, Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye, and Hon. Eugene Sackey (District Chief Executive, Upper West Akim District Assembly), established an educational structure in Achiase Kojo Kuma. This project laid the foundation for accessible, quality education in the Ayensuano Constituency.

Today, Madon Foundation is committed to revisiting and improving this initiative, ensuring sustainable growth and better learning environments for rural communities.

Our Mission

Education is the key to growth, resilience, and opportunity. Yet, many rural communities across Ghana still lack basic educational facilities. Madon Foundation has identified several schools in urgent need of support.

We invite partners, donors, and supporters to join us in providing financial assistance and resources to transform education in these underserved areas. Together, we can improve livelihoods and unlock the potential of every child.

Sports for All

Sports are a vital part of every school curriculum, fostering discipline, teamwork, and holistic development. Yet, financial constraints have left many public schools without access to structured sports and physical training.

To bridge this gap, Madon Foundation launched the Sports for All Project, beginning with football. Through free training sessions and activities, countless young people have benefited—not only from specialized coaching but also from media training and essential welfare guidance. The program, hosted at the Winneba College of Education Campus in the Central Region, engaged students from junior high, senior high, and tertiary institutions.

The feedback was overwhelming: the youth expressed a strong desire for consistent support to pursue their sporting dreams. What began as a one-time initiative has grown into a movement, driven by the passion and determination of young athletes across Ghana.

🏀 Beyond Football

While football was the starting point, Sports for All embraces a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Basketball
  • Badminton
  • Gymnastics
  • Table Tennis
  • Cricket
  • Handball
  • Swimming
  • Rugby
  • Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Netball
  • Volleyball

This inclusive initiative also champions girls’ participation and promotes sports for persons with disabilities, ensuring that no one is left behind.

🌟 Our Commitment

Madon Foundation continues to champion the link between sports and education, right up to the university level. By nurturing talent and providing opportunities, we aim to empower the next generation of athletes and leaders.

We invite donors, partners, and supporters to join us in sustaining this vision. With your financial assistance, we can provide consistent training, facilities, and mentorship to help Ghana’s youth excel in sports and beyond.

💻 ICT for the Future

In today’s technology-driven world, ICT training is no longer optional—it is essential. Yet, many school children and youth in Ghana are being denied this basic requirement due to limited resources.

To bridge this gap, Madon Foundation has introduced ICT training in schools such as La Bawaleshie Presbyterian School in the Greater Accra Region, where we donated computer equipment, now enables students to gain hands-on experience.

🚀 Expanding Access

Our vision goes beyond a few classrooms. Madon Foundation is committed to:

  • Upgrading existing ICT equipment in partner schools
  • Establishing computer labs across more schools
  • Launching a Mobile ICT Teaching Unit to bring digital education directly to rural communities

This mobile unit will ensure that even the most underserved schools have access to practical ICT training, empowering students with the skills they need to thrive in the modern world.

🌍 Our Mission

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, innovate, and compete in a global digital economy. By expanding ICT education, we are not only building skills but also opening doors to brighter futures.

Madon Foundation invites partners, donors, and supporters to join us in this mission. Together, we can equip Ghana’s youth with the tools; they need to succeed in a technology-controlled world.

👩🏽‍💼 Women Empowerment

In Ghana’s male-dominated society, women often face significant challenges in achieving their life goals. Madon Foundation is committed to changing this narrative by creating opportunities that empower women to thrive.

Through our Women’s Empowerment Workshops and Training Programs, held primarily in Accra and extended to rural communities, we have supported women with practical skills, mentorship, and even financial assistance. Many participants have since excelled in their businesses and careers—clear evidence of the effectiveness of these initiatives.

🌟 Building Sustainable Support

Empowering women is not a one-time effort; it requires consistent, long-term commitment. That is why Madon Foundation is working to establish permanent empowerment centers, designed to operate 24/7/365. These centers will be run by women, for women, ensuring that support is tailored to their unique needs and challenges.

💡 Our Vision

By providing continuous training, resources, and mentorship, we aim to:

  • Bridge the gender inequality gap
  • Strengthen women’s participation in business and leadership
  • Create inclusive opportunities for women across all sectors

Madon Foundation believes that when women succeed, communities prosper. We invite partners, donors, and supporters to join us in building a future where every woman has the tools and confidence to achieve her dreams.

👩🏽‍🎓 Youth Skills & Employment Training

Youth unemployment is a global challenge, and in Ghana, the situation is even more pressing. Recognizing this, Madon Foundation has launched Skills Training Workshops specifically designed for young people aged 18–35.

These workshops serve a dual purpose:

  • Helping the employed to upskill and remain competitive in today’s job market
  • Supporting the unemployed to acquire practical skills and create self-employment opportunities

🌟 Breaking Barriers

Many of our trainees come from disadvantaged backgrounds, where financial limitations often prevent them from starting their own businesses—even after gaining valuable skills. To address this, Madon Foundation is working to introduce cost-effective start-up funding initiatives. These programs will provide the seed capital needed for young entrepreneurs to turn their training into sustainable livelihoods.

💡 Our Vision

By equipping youth with skills and resources, we aim to:

  • Reduce unemployment rates
  • Foster entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Empower young people to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s economic growth

Madon Foundation invites partners, donors, and supporters to join us in this mission. Together, we can transform potential into opportunity and ensure that Ghana’s youth have the tools to build brighter futures.

Skills Training for Persons with Disabilities

No group faces greater marginalisation than people living with disabilities—whether physical, visual, or hearing impairments. For many, self-employment remains the most sustainable path to financial independence.

To address this, Madon Foundation has been organising Skills Training Workshops and empowerment events designed to teach, motivate, and encourage persons with disabilities to proactively acquire skills that can be transformed into viable sources of income.

🌟 Expanding Opportunities

Our vision goes beyond training. We are committed to introducing cost-effective start-up funding initiatives that will provide trainees with the seed capital needed to launch their own businesses after completing training.

This initiative is designed to restore dignity, reduce dependency, and eliminate unsafe practices such as roadside begging, replacing them with sustainable livelihoods and opportunities for growth.

💡 Our Mission

By equipping persons with disabilities with skills, resources, and financial support, Madon Foundation seeks to:

  • Empower individuals to achieve independence
  • Promote inclusion and equal opportunity
  • Build stronger, more resilient communities

We invite partners, donors, and supporters to join us in this mission. Together, we can transform lives and ensure that persons with disabilities are empowered to thrive, not just survive.
